About Birdie

Birdie is a Native American (Seminole-Creek, Otto-Missouri, Pawnee) woman who has served as a teacher, guide, and advocate for alternative healing therapies since 2015. The heart of her dedication lies in creating safe havens for others to reconnect to their body’s inner intelligence by drawing upon ancient modalities, methodologies, and plant medicines that have been utilized for centuries.

Over the past decade, Birdie has developed a relationship with various forms of entheogenic plant medicines, learning from various mentors, teachers, practitioners, and medicine men and women throughout her journey. She has led thousands of yoga asana, meditation, and workshop experiences to help individuals regain access to forgotten wisdom, explore the depths of both the physical and subtle body, restore the parasympathetic nervous system, and reconnect to their innate purpose.

Over her years of leading group experiences, Birdie has noticed a significant pattern. That humans, from all walks of life, need safe spaces to feel, to release, and to be heard. The healing and growth process can be profoundly personal, yet resembling the network of mycelium, she has found that it is clear we are not meant to traverse it in complete solitude. Since then, she has expanded to working with medicinal plants, particularly magic mushrooms, due to the aid and support they provided her and the guiding support she has been called to provide to others.

Licensed Psilocybin Facilitator in Oregon

In May of 2022, Birdie was one of the first cohort of students to complete her OHA and HECC psilocybin facilitation training in the state of Oregon with Changa Institute. As service centers have begun to open across the state of Oregon, she acknowledges the importance of maintaining accessibility for individuals seeking psilocybin services and other alternative healing modalities.

As a Native American woman who is deeply connected to teaching through the lens of the elements and the intelligence of nature, Birdie believes the medicine of the mushroom is a gift and, therefore, it can truly never be owned or underestimated. Despite the invaluable insights gained from clinical trials and advanced research on the therapeutic and neurological benefits of psychedelics, she emphasizes the importance of acknowledging their ritualistic origins. For thousands of years, indigenous cultures across the globe have devoted their lives to learning from nature’s teachings by utilizing herbal and entheogenic plants for medicinal purposes. They continue to share and impart their wisdom to future generations. In honor of the spirit of the plants and those that have walked this land before us, it is important to her that this work both be accessible and held in a sacred setting.

Psilocybin Healing Ceremony

Birdie takes a well-rounded and holistic approach while considering the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects of one's well-being throughout the entire psilocybin ceremony process. She intends to create a safe and protected container for individuals to experience the wisdom and messages of medicinal mushrooms, supporting the inner intelligence of your overall experience.

All assisted psilocybin journeys are led as a ceremony and treated with the utmost care prior to, during, and after. She is very mindful and considerate of those she chooses to work with, as your mental health and comfort is her top priority.

She believes that it is important to note that when you are working with plants, you are also working with the spirit of the plants. Often, when you feel drawn to engage with a specific alternative medicine, it may be the spirit of the plant reaching out to communicate with you. Plants have an energetic and ethereal way of communicating this to us through a heightened sense of curiosity, synchronicities, and meditative and dream states.
